Dr. Charles Benbrook, Chief Science Consultant for The Organic Center, claims that GM crops have actually led to large increases in pesticide use rather than the reductions claimed by much of the scientific community.

The use of statistics and data extrapolation were largely flawed. The graph below shows how Benbrook’s ‘estimated’ points sit far above the line of best fit (slope based on regression analysis).
